Gemini CLI

What shipped in Gemini CLI

2 releases, newest first.

  1. Gemini CLI

    Gemini CLI 0.66.0

Released October 27, 2026. Terminal output is synchronized, the spinner renders on its own, and scrollback is kept across viewport refreshes. The release stops buffer flickering and border bleed in scrollable tool containers. The scheduler emits tool-call groups directly, drops UI lookahead, and forwards termination signals from bootstrap wrappers to child processes. Shell and git environments keep the user-level ~/.gitconfig, and interactive SSH and credential prompts are suppressed. MCP OAuth can opt in to private-network endpoints. Settings placeholders resolve after .env files load, and keybindings.json accepts a keys array. A banner says Gemini CLI is not optimized for Gemini 4.

  2. Gemini CLI

    Gemini CLI 0.65.0

Released October 20, 2026. Untrusted folders enforce read-only workspace settings. Resuming a session no longer duplicates tool-response turns or deletes history on a quick exit. Telemetry configuration can send custom OTLP headers. The release also fixes OAuth verification retry loops, an interactive-mode hang on Enter, and session poisoning from a rapid Ctrl-C, along with a broader fix sweep.
