StackPick is published by Remi Charest in Quebec, Canada. Remi Charest is the person in charge of protection of personal information. Privacy requests go to hello@stackpick.app.

This page describes the tools that run on the public site: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, Google Analytics 4, the Resend newsletter, Stripe payment links, and affiliate links.

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views. Vercel Speed Insights measures loading performance. Both are cookieless: they do not set a tracking cookie and they do not build an advertising profile. They load on every visit, including when Google Analytics is refused.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel processes those measurements as the hosting provider.

Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-M8BZRGMTTG) tells us which pages are useful. The tag does not load until you accept. Accept and Refuse are stored in localStorage on this browser under stackpick-cookie-consent. Refusing leaves the tag unloaded. You can change the choice at any time.

After you accept, Google sets cookies such as _ga and may process the data in the United States. Refusing later clears those cookies on this site and reloads the page so the tag stops.

The signup form sends your email address to our server, which adds it as a contact in Resend and places it on the newsletter segment. Resend stores the address so we can send mail. A short confirmation email is sent when you join. After that, the list is one email when the rankings change.

You can unsubscribe from a link in those emails, or ask us to delete the address by writing to hello@stackpick.app. The address stays on the list until you unsubscribe or we delete it. We do not sell the list.

Some outbound tool links use an affiliate URL. We may earn a commission if you sign up through that link. Rankings are never paid. The numbered order on a category page is the score order. A paid placement, when there is one, is labeled Sponsored and sits above that ranking.

Affiliate links may be used to monetize, but they never affect scores or rankings, and rankings are never sponsored.

An affiliate link is marked for browsers with rel="sponsored". The click leaves StackPick for the vendor’s site, which has its own privacy policy.

Under Quebec’s Law 25 and the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, and you can withdraw consent for Google Analytics or the newsletter. Write to hello@stackpick.app. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, or with a GDPR supervisory authority.

Resend, Google, Stripe, and Vercel may process data outside Quebec, including in the United States, under their own terms.
