How this ranks
StackPick is an opinionated directory. The category pages answer which tool for which job. The stacks answer what to combine. The release feed is only as current as data/releases.json.
Initial editorial estimate. Not a measured benchmark. Edit scores in data/tools.json.
The number on a card is a weighted average of four scores from 1 to 10. Price means value for an indie budget: a free open-source tool scores high, an expensive seat scores low. It is not a measure of quality by itself.
| Part | Weight |
|---|---|
| Ease | 22% |
| Power | 33% |
| Price | 15% |
| Vibe-coder fit | 30% |
Descriptions stick to what the product is. If a price, quota, or plan name is not solid, the listing says check site instead of guessing a number. The directory clock is 2026-10-15. “New this week” is the seven days up to and including that date.
Disagree with a rank? Change the scores in data/tools.json. The pages read that file. Nothing is hardcoded in the components.
A featured tool can sit at the top of its category with a Sponsored label. That placement is not part of the weighted score, and neither is an affiliate link. Some links are affiliate links; rankings are never paid.
