GPT-6.1 Terra in AI Gateway and Agent Runners
On October 26, 2026, OpenAI's GPT-6.1 Terra became available through Netlify's AI Gateway and Agent Runners. Netlify Functions can call it with the OpenAI SDK without a separate API key; the changelog example uses the Responses API with model gpt-6.1-terra. It is also available in Scheduled Functions, Background Functions, and Edge Functions, and those calls use Netlify's caching, rate limiting, and authentication.
